The Ice Age: History
Francis Sun explained that ice taken from the mountains was used for collecting it in the Mediterranean in the early 1700s. The ice that was collected was kept in “ice houses” in which was kept the cold winter ice until it could be used during summer. This was the first example that society was storing and collecting the ice.
Looking forward to the past, we can see that by the year 1850, special tools were made to extract the ice. It was necessary to upgrade technology when ice became more popular.
Ice houses would become very popular in the ice trade. They could hold massive volumes of Ice. The key was to figure out ways to chill the ice rapidly. That’s why we have the advent of refrigerators.
Without ice, it’s difficult to envision how your life could appear like now. Many people use it day in and in the day to ensure that their drinks stay cold, but it’s essential to keep certain foods cool , too. Consider how ice was created when you next make a drink.
